Our software team in Sydney is going from strength to strength with a focus is on developing strategic and leading edge
solutions for our customers across many industries.
As the Service Delivery Manager you’ll manage all major application management change, provide support for issues and
escalations, plan and optimise staff utilisation and provide a structure to operate an efficient change management system. While it’s
vital that you manage the day-to day operations for the team such as maintaining application management rosters, client reporting
and overseeing budgets, your main responsibility will be managing an ongoing change and release pipeline for large enterprise
systems along manage discreet projects.
This role will be rewarding in that you’ll get to utilise your people skills to manage and inspire a team, as well as cultivate and nurture client relationships.
You might currently be in a similar role or possibly a Project Manager/Delivery Manager position and this experience means you’ll be
able to easily identify opportunities and engage with the appropriate people.
Working within our software team in Sydney, you’ll be responsible for the ongoing success and growth of our application management team. This means effectively managing all key client relationships and being able to pre-empt changing requirements so that we can continue to develop our application management capability.
Ideally you will also have strong project management skills and able to assist with ad-hoc projects across the software business.
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Around 10 years senior industry experience
- Around 5 years' experience as an Service Delivery Manager or project management of software solutions
- Ability to provide a leading example of personal resilience and commitment to service outcomes
- Effective delivery leadership skills in a matrix organisational environment
- Ability to build support for initiatives and transformation programs
- A proven track record in effective customer relationship building and management skills
- Experience in managing people, sound negotiating skills and ability to develop new solutions to existing challenges
- Excellent verbal/written and presentation delivery skills
- ITIL Foundation Certification & v3 Service Management Bridge a bonus
- Degree in ICT or Business Management would be advantageous (not essential)
Above average communication and presentation skills with current experience in a similar position are critical to the success of this role, your ability to deal at all levels of organisations and present at a business level is essential.
