Datacom securely holds spares at all of our support locations and these are accessible 24/7 by our engineers. We manage our extensive spare parts holding by using our DSM (Datacom Service Management) system.
Our dedicated logistics team manages the spares holdings; the level of spares, their shipment and their location is based on the types and levels of service contracts. There are pools of general and dedicated spares that are drawn from as required.
The DSM system allows for the allocation of specifically required parts to service requests and tracks these parts throughout the entire service and repair process. The DSM system also automates complex post-repair tasks such as the return of faulty parts to third party repairers for repair, replacement of consumable parts and the replenishment of parts for all warehouses.
