Datacom’s annual hackathon – Datacomp – saw participants humanise technology through the theme of “EmotionalX”. As part of the weekend event held on 24-26 August, hundreds of participants from across Australasia converged on Datacom’s Auckland office to design technology that forges genuine human connections between people and business.

Datacom has today officially opened a new customer care and IT Hub in South Australia, providing world-class customer services, along with training for the local community, as part of the company’s growing investment in Australia.

Datacom Group has delivered another year of revenue growth, increasing revenue by 9.3% to NZ$1.27b for the Financial Year ended 31 March 2018. The Group profit after tax for the year was NZ$23.5m.

Datacom is delighted to announce Aditi Sherekar as the 2018 Imagine Cup Scholarship winner. This scholarship offers Ms Sherekar a paid internship in Datacom’s Software group, based in our Gaunt St office.

Datacom today announced that it will deliver data centre services from AirTrunk’s new hyperscale facilities in Sydney and Melbourne. This will provide government and enterprise customers with secure, direct access to multiple public cloud service providers, and other hosting and co-location services.  

Datacom today announced they have entered into a 3-year contract with the Department of Home Affairs to provide client enquiry services as part of the Department’s programme to modernise its visa and citizenship services.

Following the recent announcement that vulnerabilities have been detected in Intel and AMD processor chips, Datacom has been monitoring our managed service customer environments and working with our vendors to mitigate the impact of the vulnerabilities for our clients.
