Digital channels have become crucial for every business, but setting up those channels can be expensive and difficult. That’s why Datacom has created a range of Sphere products, aimed at providing businesses with a low-risk, low-cost way to build their own digital channels.
The products are sold under a Software as a Service (SaaS) model, with a monthly subscription fee that covers hosting, support and maintenance. Sphere products are regularly upgraded with new features.
Hosting is on Datacom’s local cloud in either New Zealand or Australia, with full redundancy across Datacom data centres in different regions. It can also be augmented by global cloud where appropriate.

- Web: A template website, featuring responsive design and vertical industry information architecture and taxonomies
- Intranet: A template Intranet (based on SharePoint), also featuring responsive design and vertical industry information architecture and taxonomies
- MultiChannel: A content service allows content to be authored once and then delivered to many channels, such as web, intranet, digital signage, social media, partner websites, and so on
- Online Services: A web portal that allows customers to create complex online services through configuration only. Features dynamic forms with a drag-and-drop form builder, online payment, federated security with RealMe support, PDF generation, workflow, and more. The portal can be used to create any application, such as building consents, resource consents and dog registration
- Mobile Capture: Allows disconnected capture of data using a mobile app (iOS, Android or Windows Phone 8), including dynamic forms, camera, voice and GPS. Often used for compliance, safety or maintenance inspections
- Payment Services: Provides online credit card payment, and txt2pay – confirmation of payments by SMS
- Messaging Services: Provides full SMS services, including alerts, bulk messaging, and newsletters
- Bookings: An online self-service bookings system that enables customers to provide their community with instantaneous direct access to their facilities and services. With over 500 customisable settings, the solution can be tailored to suit your organisation.
