For customers building geo-diverse IT infrastructures, inter-data centre networks provide high-bandwidth, low-latency network connectivity between our Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, and Christchurch data centres. The networks provide the ideal building-block for customers wishing to build data replication or geographically distributed load-balancing into their infrastructures.
The entire solution is fully diverse, traversing the country via different physical fibre routes and accessing the data centre using independent building access ducts. In the event of a circuit failure, the solution will automatically converge and switch around the failure with little to no customer impact.
Bandwidth can be provided in increments from as little as one Megabit per second up to multiple Gigabits per second. Term commitments can be as little as 30 days, avoiding the need for multi-year commitments typically sought by traditional telecommunications companies.
Key features:
- Low-latency network connection between data centres
- Bandwidth allocated to suit
- Low term commitments, allowing “breathe in, breathe out” adjustments to bandwidth allocations
- Full path diversity, eliminating vulnerability to single circuit failures
