A typical day would involve:

  • Ensuring the operational reliability and effectiveness of the enterprise Windows, and VMware server infrastructure
  • Use technology to constantly improve service offerings, service availability/performance, and overall customer experience
  • Creating, updating and peer reviewing operational, project and change control documentation
  • Attending internal and/or external meetings in regards to operational deliveries

About you:

Our engineers operate collegially and transparently, communicating frequently with both their team and customers. To be successful in this team, you will have developed your technical and customer engagement skills through tackling new industry sectors and complex projects.

Skills needed:

  • MCSA/MSCE/MCITP/VCP or other relevant industry qualification
  • Experience working with technologies used within the windows and virtual environments such as:

                      o   (Essential): Vmware 5+, Windows OS, AD, DNS

                      o   (Valued) Scripting/PowerShell, Web, Exchange, SQL, RDS, SCOM, SCCM, Networking

  • Strong working knowledge of industry best practice in systems management and ITIL framework
  • Proven technical troubleshooting skills and extensive systems management experience in a large virtualised environment
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision 
  • Excellent organisational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to communicate directly with customers and third party support organisations
