About the role

As a member of the managed services team, the Network Specialist will interact directly with clients and other members of the Datacom Systems teams to support integrated networking technology solutions to meet client’s business needs and challenges. The Network Specialist role is to provide our clients with a high level of technical expertise in actively leading and supporting network infrastructure.

The core responsibilities of the Network Specialist include but are not limited to:
  • Dedicated management of network infrastructure
  • Resolving technical issues
  • Designing and maintaining technical documentation
  • Obtaining and maintaining vendor certifications and study
  • On-boarding of new clients
  • On-call and after hours support
  • Delivery of projects
About you

To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:
  • Minimum 3 years' experience managing network infrastructure
  • Validated knowledge of switching, routing and firewall technologies
  • Knowledge of Wireless would be advantageous
  • Knowledge of Voice technologies would be advantageous (Cisco, Mitel)
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python would be advantageous
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • CCNP or higher certification desirable
  • ITIL certification or experience is desirable
  • Flexibility towards both work and the role
