The Role

Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, the Infrastructure Consultant is the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Infrastructure capabilities and provides high quality development, design and implementation of technical infrastructure solutions to meet client challenges or requirements.

The Infrastructure Consultant routinely operates in a multi-faceted customer environment, operating across multiple projects simultaneously as well as conducting technical project reviews. The Technical Consultant will have a documented commitment to customer satisfaction and unwavering customer focus.

Core skills that will ensure appropriate capability for this role are expertise in:

  • Exchange (2013, 2016, O365)
  • Skype for Business
  • Identity – Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
  • Server 2016 capabilities – Clustering, ADFS, DirectAccess, Hyper-V etc
  • Mobility – EMS, AirWatch etc
  • General Wintel skills – AV, Backup, OS, monitoring etc

Your skill in these areas will ensure success as you meet the responsibilities of the Infrastructure Consultant:

  1. Undertake Infrastructure Project Delivery encompassing high level solution architecture, detailed design and implementation
  2. Provide pre-sales support and expertise to the sales team in areas of subject expertise
  3. Provide timely, quality and reliable project delivery to clients ensuring customer satisfaction
  4. Deliver projects in alignment with Datacom processes and methodologies
  5. Continually develop expertise and broaden skill sets to provide additional capabilities and value to Datacom and our clients
  6. Facilitate and engage in additional business growth opportunities for Datacom
  7. Operate in a highly professional and high performance team

The Person

You will have demonstrated ability to communicate the value of solutions in a way that resonates with all levels of our customer’s organisation. In addition, you will be confident in your ability to explain the Datacom value premise to external people and organisations that would benefit from the expansion of the implemented product.

To be successful in this role you will need a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a level 3 system admin role supporting multiple facets of Infrastructure.
