Our national Intranet team are currently embarking on an exciting digital journey. With a recently restructured department, they currently require the skills of a mature and enthusiastic Content Advisor to assist them with achieving their goals. In this newly created position, you will be a champion for, and the driver of, the uptake of the consistent use of collaboration tools across Datacom. You will support the teams ‘One Datacom’ vision and enable sharing of knowledge and capability across the business.

 

The duties of the Content Advisor role include but are not limited to:

  • Liaising with Content Authors to produce content that supports the intranet, digital workplace vision and wider organisational goals
  • Undertaking annual intranet content review and reporting findings
  • Planning and supporting content migration
  • Undertaking search optimisation
  • Providing training on collaboration tools to Datacom employees across the group
  • Providing advice and technical support to Content Authors and Content Owners; and
  • Other adhoc duties including minute taking and monthly reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • At least 2 years’ experience in the IT and Technology industry with proven experience in digital content management
  • Proven skills in project management
  • The ability to be analytical and turn a business problem into a solution
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with the application of industry best practice into the workplace; and
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, systems, change management, information management or IT.

Ideally, they will also have experience with:

  • Writing for the internet
  • Applying change management methodologies; and
  • Utilising SharePoint CMS and Office 365.

Whilst you will be amply supported by an experienced manager, this is a highly autonomous role where you will need to be self-managed. There will also be frequent travel between our offices (nationally and internationally) and you will be responsible for fostering effective working relationships with senior leaders across our business.
