About the role
At Datacom, the Service Desk is the front line of the Managed Services department. They are the hub of internal communication and the first point of contact for customer communication.
Through the use of their intimate customer knowledge, general IT understanding and remote control tools, the Service Desk will resolve customer issues directly where possible. Where additional support services are required, the Service Desk coordinates the other resources to manage the resolution.
The core responsibilities of the Service Desk Analyst include but are not limited to:
- Incident and Service Request Management
- Customer Service
- Technical Assistance
- Alert Monitoring
- Documentation
About you
To be considered for this position, you will need to possess the following:
- Knowledge of MS Operating Systems and applications
- Hands-on experience with MS Windows XP/ 7/ 8, MS Office Suite and Active Directory
- A strong customer service focus and excellent communication skills
- The ability to solve technical problems quickly and maintain core capabilities when under pressure
- TAFE Cert IV, Microsoft Certification or a degree in Information Systems are desirable
- Exposure to ITIL methodologies would be desirable
