Datacom Connect are currently seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our growing Sales and Solutions team. This role is flexible to be located in either Sydney, Canberra or Adelaide!
In this role, you will work with a portfolio of government clients at a variety of levels and internal subject matter experts to map out and engage the client’s teams, managers and leaders to acquire and deploy Datacom Connect products and solutions.
You will be able to absorb, apply and communicate high levels of technical information with ease. Being a natural relationship builder you will forge strong partnerships within your clients and deliver innovative and creative solutions.
About the role:
Account Development and Management
- Management of the full sales cycle, from introduction, establishment of needs and solution development, through to presentation and ultimately closure, whilst utilising Datacom’s CRM.
- Creation and Management of Account Plans.
Representation of Datacom
- Effectively and accurately represent Datacom to the customer in all sales efforts and communications.
- Maintain the highest standards of professionalism through effective communication, teamwork, attention to detail (such as timely forecasting in the Datacom "Salesforce" Software program), high ethical standards, and a commitment to achieve good business results.
Relationship Management
- Initiate, build and maintain on-going relationships with clients to facilitate execution of work.
- Initiate new and utilise established business relationships to achieve business goals.
- Successfully develop and implement strategies for increasing the profile, creates new relationships and business for Datacom using networks.
- Internally orchestrate tender responses, proposal generation and unsolicited proposals.
Business Development
- Identify new opportunities to generate revenue and bring additional value to the customer.
- Educate the customer on new technologies/capabilities as they become available.
- Regularly introduce new innovative capabilities to clients.
- Self-educate on new capabilities available across Datacom and its partners.
About you:
- Excellent problem solving skills, with an emphasis on innovative and creative solutions that result in higher profitability.
- Excellent sales qualification skills with proven ability to negotiate and close win/win solutions for all parties
- Ability to work across an account along with C level management.
- Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives.
- Experience and knowledge of the of the Outsourced IT services market, Software Development and Infrastructure project requirements.
- Initiates, builds and maintains on-going relationships with clients to facilitate execution of work.
- Successfully develops and implements strategies for increasing the profile, and creates new Relationships and business for Datacom using networks.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of both technical and business issues, making correct commercial decision, incorporating financial management of costs and revenue of Datacom
- Effectively conveys politically and culturally sensitive information of a complex nature to a diverse audience.
- Experience with developing proposals and tenders
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective presentation skills
- IT or Business Degree or 5+ Years Sales experience in similar stream
- Australian Citizen and able to pass a criminal history check
