Role Title: People and Culture Advisor

There has been significant growth over the past 4 years and as such, to continue with this trajectory, we are seeking to expand our People team with a new People and Culture Advisor role to support Australia and New Zealand. You will be based in our brand new office located in Wynyard Quarter, Auckland CBD.

The Role

Reporting to the Senior People and Culture Advisor, you will work with the business to provide support and advice in people related activities.  The People and Culture Advisor is responsible for overseeing/assisting in the day-to-day delivery of people projects, programs, and strategies (communication, on-boarding, assimilation, talent management etc.).

Key responsibilities:

  • Support Senior People and Culture Advisor in executing local people plans
  • Establish key relationships in order to advise and ensure the most productive people and teams are in place to deliver on business strategy and related priorities
  • Day to day advisory support to business leaders and people managers
  • Responsible for implementing the program plans for each assigned business team
  • Work with business leaders, HR teammates and other business support functions to ensure the people programs are in alignment with the overall strategy of the business team(s) and can be successfully operationalized and executed by all involved parties
  •  Provide people insights to the business and People team

About You

As a People and Culture Advisor you will build trusted advisor relationships with all levels of management across your assigned client groups; you will work with the business units to apply HR management principles and knowledge to establish rapport, trust, confidence and credibility with management and employees. The successful candidates will also have a “hands on,” “roll up your sleeves” mentality and a strong internal and external customer service focus. There will always be a bias for action, strong work ethic, and a desire to achieve excellent results. You will need the ability to connect and positively interface at all organisational levels, a passion for inventing solutions and process improvement.

 
Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent, preferably in HR
  • Previous experience in an HR generalist function
  • Teamwork – demonstrated ability to collaborate with others and work constructively to accomplish goals
  • Accountability – demonstrated ability to work without constant direction, show a bias for action and achieve results
  • Integrity – demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information
  • Analytical Thinking – demonstrated ability to use logic to form & test hypotheses, leverage data to frame issues, tell compelling stories and influence others to take action
