About the role
This role sits in the account team of one of our key accounts. You’ll use your analytical skills to assist in the management and processing of a core base of financial related activities, monthly performance reporting, financial modelling and general administrative duties.
The role would suit an accounting professional looking to diversify their career into the commercial/ IT sector. Any experience in a Chartered Accountancy environment would be a real benefit, but most importantly we want you to bring the interpersonal and communication skills to communicate across all levels of our business, including negotiating and influencing others, as well as demonstrating a natural curiosity and an investigative nature. Key responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate, consolidate and develop report outputs from scratch for operational statistics, cashflow, budgets and rolling forecasts
- Preparing monthly operational, financial management and reconciliation reports
- Glean and report insights from underlying reporting data
- Building and overseeing build of automation to support reporting data capture
- Director reporting, collating and editing reports
- Assisting clients and internal suppliers with enquiries into reporting and underlying data
Our wish list of skills and experience:
- A tertiary qualification in Bachelor of Commerce including Finance and Accounting (or aligned degree)
- Ideally some experience in commercial and / or CA environment
- Exceptional knowledge in Excel, Access and proficiency for analysing data
- Experience in understanding multiple data sources and creating simple, understandable information and analysis
- Some technical skills to write VBA codes and queries (SQL advantageous)
- Knowledge of Office 365, Power BI and SharePoint
- Exposure to project management and frameworks
- Ability to manage shifting priorities and be self-managing
- A hunger to learn and the agility to quickly absorb and interpret complex information
