The world-class showcase positions Brisbane as a cultural hub and presents theatre, classical and contemporary music, comedy, opera, circus and visual arts.
Its presence dominates the city for three weeks in September and the Sunsuper Riverfire fireworks display attracts an audience of one million people every year. The Festival is pivotal in boosting local tourism, with more than 42,000 bed-nights clocked up each year during the festival period.
We have been a key partner for three years, providing ICT infrastructure, migration and hosting within Datacom’s Cloud Services, as well as providing service desk support and other initiatives. Datacom’s sponsorship and in-kind agreement enables Brisbane Festival to return these funds to their operational budget, while supporting Festival initiatives.
Datacom’s partnership with Brisbane Festival continues our long tradition of supporting Queensland’s local arts community, such as through the Queensland Theatre Company.
“Partners are so important to Brisbane Festival. Long-term partnerships, such as that with Datacom, provide the platform to continue the Festival’s artistic reputation and community engagement each year. As one of Australia’s youngest major festivals, Brisbane Festival is able to present outstanding arts experiences from here and around the globe due to the loyal support of strategically-minded businesses like Datacom.”
