Leading IT services organisation Datacom today announces it has achieved Tier 1 status in the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program. The program is designed to strengthen customer relationships and expand cloud sales opportunities by enabling partners to provide direct billing, sell combined offers and services, as well as directly provision, manage and support products and services.

Tier 1 status is reserved for companies which can offer an end-to-end service, including support. Achieving Tier 1 is an acknowledgement from Microsoft that Datacom has high capability standards and provides an excellent experience for customers.

“This credential is a key part of Datacom’s strategy to be the leading cloud partner for the enterprise. There are not many credible options for organisations who see their future in a hybrid public and private cloud environment, and Datacom’s growing public cloud skill set is allowing us to disrupt the market,” says Datacom CEO Jonathan Ladd.

“We see the future as very bright for Azure and will stand side by side Microsoft to enable new and innovative business models for our mutual customers.”

Datacom has extensive experience working in Microsoft Azure, including successfully migrating Zespri International’s global SAP platform and other applications to the platform. It was the world’s largest production SAP migration to Azure and won Datacom the Cloud Enterprise award at Microsoft New Zealand’s Partner awards.

“To meet the growing demand of our cloud-based solutions, we’re thrilled to expand the capabilities for cloud partners under the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program,” says Phil Goldie, Director, Partner Business & Development at Microsoft Australia.

“By joining the Microsoft Cloud Solution Provider Program, partners will deepen customer relationships and expand business opportunities in the cloud.”
