For parents interested in how their children are using technology in the classroom, this module offers a series of three workshop sessions particularly useful for schools that have a 1:1 program, also known as “laptops for students” or “anywhere, anytime”. Research shows the schools most successful at executing a 1:1 program plan well ahead of the “rollout”, or the distribution of the technology in the classroom. Part of this planning involves educating both students and teachers on using the technology in the classroom.
With our BYOParent Workshops, parents and students learn about the 1:1 program devices together in a one-hour session. Schools can vary the subject matter of the workshop based on their needs or cover the same topic over three sessions to learn:
- Information on how technology in the classroom enables learning
- Discussions on keeping children safe online
- How to use the technology for both parents and students.
If your school is launching a 1:1 program, get in touch with us today about setting up a BYOParent Workshop before you provide computing devices to your students.
