The Role

Working on one of our Service Desks is a key role and 'window' to the business; you're first point of contact to over 150 clients! Your responsibilities will include providing Tier 1-2 level support to customers for anything, from resetting passwords, to setting up new accounts, to initial troubleshooting of network performance on one of our sites. You'll also keep documentation updated and ensure effective and professional communication internally and with clients via phone and email.

The Person

Your strong troubleshooting skills, exceptional communication skills along with your IT qualification will be critical to your success in this role. We are looking for individuals with strong written and verbal communication skills, plus the flexibility to work rostered hours in a 24/7 environment. We specifically need staff for our After Hours and Twilight shifts so please apply only if you can support this.

It is essential to have:

  • A relevant IT qualification.
  • Strong understanding of Active Directory and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service focus.
  • Excellent communication skills - both written, verbal and listening skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems effectively and clearly to clients via telephone and email.
  • Ability to work well in a social team.
  • Ability to prioritise customers' needs and empathise.
  • Ability to think outside the box and troubleshoot a wide range of IT incidents.
  • NZ Residency or Citizenship, or a valid work visa.

It would be an advantageous to have:

  • Experience on a technical Service Desk.
  • ITIL Foundations certificate.
  • An understanding of Citrix.
