Project Manager (Infrastructure)

Managing the end-to-end delivery of IT projects (predominantly based around server and database technologies)

This role will see you managing infrastructure projects, using a variety of different project management methodologies. This role requires you to use innovative thinking within an infrastructure setting to deliver projects which transform our customers’ business.  As part of our Shared Services group you will be working closely alongside the client, third parties, and our internal technical teams to deliver the best possible results.  

We look for people to take ownership and responsibility for the project outcomes, as we are an outcome focused business, and take a pragmatic approach to getting things done.    We allow you to get on with it, and to use your initiative and make decisions, and encourage you to build the relationships that are needed to deliver.    As a PM in our team, you’ll need a blend of technical, relationship and communication skills as well as a track record of delivering successful IT projects.   

We are looking for:

  • Thorough understanding, and experience, of project management methodologies
  • Experience with developing and managing project budgets
  • The ability to clearly communicate to your target audience
  • The skills to influence others to achieve outcomes
  • A drive for results
  • Attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
  • Effective management of expectations
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A background in managing Unix, Linux, Database or Virtualisation focused projects would be a real advantage, and certification in either an Agile, or waterfall, methodology would be beneficial.
