Join the Datacom Digital Advisory team and play a crucial role in leading some of NZ's largest enterprises through their transformation journey, working from our new office in the Wynyard Quarter. As a Principal Advisory Consultant, you will be working closely with clients, combining consulting frameworks with your technical expertise to assess, recommend and build their unique strategy and architecture for the future. Once complete, you will have the satisfaction of overseeing the Datacom implementation teams actioning your strategy and bringing it to life.
You will need to be people-centric, working closely with our customers’ key business and IT stakeholders to lead and advise them through their journey. As a seasoned practitioner in consulting with organisations on their IT strategy and roadmaps, you will familiar with managing a diverse range of stakeholders at all levels, and challenging their thinking. You will have a successful track record of delivering IT consulting services across both business and technical teams. You will also be a thought leader both internally and externally, regularly presenting at events, blogging and posting on social media.
Skills and experience
Deep consulting experience in helping customers align business and IT strategies, then translating into work packages in roadmaps
Able to apply proven advisory frameworks and a process-driven approach to assessing and guiding customers through organisational and technical change
A strong understanding of enterprise architecture models and how they can be implemented in different situations
An ability to translate desired strategic/business outcomes into solution architecture/design and to present these to customers
Excellent communication and facilitation skills to be able to work effectively across both the customers’ business and IT teams
A track record of delivering IT transformation programmes and projects in leading roles, applying traditional SDLC and modern Agile and DevOps methodologies.
A team player who enjoys working within a team of multi-disciplined consultants who are committed to helping our customers via the delivery of high value strategy and consulting engagements
Accredited in project management either Prince2, PMP or equivalent
Tertiary qualified with a degree in commerce, information systems, computer science or relevant discipline.
