Datacom has continued its strong 2016, picking up another raft of awards from Intel Security at its recent Annual Partner Summit in Bangkok.

Datacom has been awarded Intel Security’s Managed Services Provider of the Year ANZ, and it’s Overall #1 MSP Partner for APAC award.

“We’re delighted accept these two awards from one of Datacom’s key partners in the security space. We have a long and storied relationship with Intel Security and it’s great to see our security teams across ANZ being rewarded for their innovative work in a rapidly changing market,” said Datacom Group CEO, Jonathan Ladd.

“Our MSP security portfolio continues to be a crucial part of Datacom’s solution set. We look forward to continuing our strong relationship with Intel Security, serving our future customers with the same leading solutions that helped us win here today.”

Intel Security’s Director Service Provider, MSP and Cloud APAC, Joel Camissar praised Datacom for its winning trans-Tasman strategy.

“We congratulate Datacom on this well-earned achievement. Success does not come overnight building a managed services business; it's a complex exercise, developing SLAs, operating practices, and then going on to win and grow new business. This award comes on the back of a strategic long term investment by Datacom dating back several years to build a range of services on the Intel Security platform. Well done,” he said.

Camissar said that Datacom made a significant investment in training, far surpassing any other Intel Security Partner. Datacom’s security operations centre (SOC) capabilities run across two locations in New Zealand, which offer services such as security analytics and thread visibility across Telecommunications-as-a-Service (TaaS) for a number of Datacom’s public and private sector clients.

This award follows a strong year for Datacom which has seen it win Cisco’s NZ Partner of the Year and Managed Services Partner of the Year ANZ, Dell’s Global Solution Win of the Year 2015 – Internet of Things, EMC’s Solution Provider Partner NZ award, Hitachi Data Systems Partner of the Year ANZ and Veeam’s Partner of the Year ANZ.
